Meet the Team
Rob Staley is the owner of Furniture Fix and Bulldog Glass & Mirror in Brownsburg, Indiana. He has been in the industry for over 20 years, beginning as a painter for his family’s painting business, Reece Rebholz Company. His uncle, the owner, soon saw Rob’s potential, and began to train him in the trade of wood refinishing.
Over the past two decades, Rob has refined his talents to become a master-level craftsman in the art of wood refinishing and restoration. He has been entrusted with the care of the woodwork in many historic and important buildings, including the Indiana State House, the Eiteljorg, and the Indiana State Museum, as well as universities, schools, banks, churches, offices, and fine dining restaurants.
In his free time, Rob enjoys camping with his family and spending relaxing days on his back deck watching the kids and dogs play.
Betty Hemphill is the office manager and works in the front office greeting customers. She handles customer service, estimating, and quoting projects. She is extremely knowledgeable about the business, having been there longer than anyone else. Sixteen years ago, she was working as a bank teller on the north side of Indy and looking for a position closer to home. She answered an ad in the paper, and started the next week. Ownership of the business has changed, but Betty has remained through it all to provide consistent customer service to loyal customers.
In her spare time, Betty enjoys trying new restaurants, shopping, and enjoying the community of Brownsburg. Betty is also active in her church, Harmony Baptist, where she participates in a Bible study group, and has been volunteering in the nursery for 14 years.
Steve Prince runs the glass shop at Bulldog Glass & Mirror. He has been in the glass business for 30+ years. Like Rob, Steve also got his start in a family business. He worked for his father’s commercial glass company from age 12, until deciding to go out on his own at age 22. His brother also works in the commercial business with his father, and to this day, Steve will still go back and help with the family business when they need a hand.
Steve handles all measuring, cutting, installation, and repair work at Bulldog, including screens, glass, windows, and mirrors. Although Bulldog does not do automotive glass, he can replace side view mirrors.
In his free time, he likes to travel, plays drums in a band, and races motocross.
Mike is the carpenter at Furniture Fix, and his responsibilities include finish carpentry, component reproduction, furniture repair, and restoration. Mike’s career in the building trades all started with a high school shop class at age 15, and he has continued to grow his skills ever since, now with over twenty years of experience.
In his spare time, Mike has a passion for wood turning and working with a lathe. He uses his talents to make custom one-of-a-kind wood objects such as bowls and lighthouses. When he’s not in a wood shop, you’ll find Mike outdoors cycling or mountain climbing.
